Turning

Turning is one of our core machining capabilities, enabling the manufacture of precision cylindrical/ Round components from a wide range of engineering and high-performance polymers. From simple bushes and spacers to complex shafts, rollers, sleeves, insulators, and custom-machined components, our turning operations are designed to deliver accuracy, consistency, and reliability across varying production requirements.
Our turning capability has evolved alongside customer needs. We began with conventional lathe machining in 2016. As demand for tighter tolerances and improved repeatability increased, we upgraded our conventional machines with Digital Read Out (DRO) system, significantly enhancing dimensional control and machining accuracy.
In 2025, we further expanded our facility by adding a modern CNC Turning machine equipped with Fanuc Controls. This enables precise, repeatable machining of complex geometries while improving productivity and reducing setup times. The CNC platform is particularly suited for components requiring consistent tolerances across medium-to-high production volumes.
Today, our turning department combines the strengths of both conventional and CNC machining. Conventional lathes continue to play a vital role in producing prototypes, development parts, one-off components, and low-volume production runs where flexibility and rapid modifications are essential. Our CNC turning centre is utilised for intricate profiles, multi-operation components, and larger production batches where repeatability, efficiency, and process consistency are critical.
We routinely machine a broad range of engineering plastics, including Nylon, Acetal (POM), UHMWPE, PTFE, PEEK, PES and other specialised polymer grades. Our experience with these materials allows us to account for factors such as thermal expansion, material stability, and surface finish requirements during the machining process.
By combining practical machining expertise with modern manufacturing technology, we provide precision-turned plastic components that meet the demanding requirements of OEMs and industrial customers across diverse applications and industries.
